H.265 source coding in optical CDMA system

In this paper, the transmission of H.265 source coding is investigated in optical CDMA system. The H. 265 is a new standard of video compression developed in 2013, which will be widely exploited in many kinds of communication platforms in the future. We present this new source coding scheme via optical CDMA communication system for demonstrations. However, multiple access interference and beat noise will lead to severe adverse impact on system performance; utilization of optical hard-limiter is a powerful countermeasure to relieve such impact. Aside from the multiple access interference and beat noise, we also consider the side effects of thermal noise, shot noise, and relative intensity noise. The demonstration results reveal that our proposed scheme can effectively enhance the system performance; the number of simultaneous users can be drastically increased accordingly.
