Method for extracting head and face region through global and local strength distance measurement

The invention discloses a method for extracting a head and face region through global and local strength distance measurement. The method comprises the following steps of (1) extracting the representation of global visual weight by using a global strength distance measurement method; (2) extracting the representation of local visual weight by using a local strength distance measurement method; and (3) superposing, combining and extracting an outline by using a threshold value method to realize region extraction. The method disclosed by the invention aims at a human face photo with the head and the face, the global and local visual weight matrix extraction is realized by using a global and local strength distance measurement method through considering, a comprehensive visual weight matrix is combined, and furthermore, the head and face region is extracted by virtue of threshold segmentation. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the aims of rapidly obtaining a better region extracting effect and dividing the head and face outline can be achieved by only using the human face photo. As a preprocessing method, the method disclosed by the invention can be applied to human face detection and recognition, human face information acquisition and the like and can be used for rapidly dividing the head and face region and a background region.
