Low Angle Light Scattering Measurement Using Fourier Transform Lens

A simple and high-speed low-angle light scattering measurement system using a Fourier transform lens and photodiode array is described. This system is useful in tracing the time evolution of fluctuation with a low wave number in homogeneous materials. Great improvement in the signal-to-noise ratio of the scattered light intensity is obtained by integrating over the wide scattering volume. This system is used for the analysis of the dynamic process of spinodal decomposition.
