CIUDEN CFB boiler technological development

One of the current European initiatives in terms of R&D on CCS is the El Bierzo Technological Centre for CO2 Capture and Transport (TCCT), which is supported by the Spanish Government through the Fundacion Ciudad de la Energia (CIUDEN). CIUDEN is a research and development institution created by the Spanish Administration in 2006 and fully conceived for collaborative research in CCS and CCTs thus contributing to the strengthening of the industrial and technological base in Spain and by extension in Europe [1].
