Moment formulation for capacitance problem of generalised N-strip transmission-line system

An algorithm for the computation of capacitances and charge distributions in a generalised N-layer N-strip transmission line is formulated, based on the method of moments. The region of interest may consist of an arbitrary number of dielectric slabs and conducting strips. The potentials or normal fields at every interface are evaluated in terms of total charge distributions (bound charge and free charge). The basic mathematical development is to reduce the 2-dimensional potential integral to a matrix equation, and the solution is then given by matrix inversion.
