A modified form of Oldfields Edinburgh Handedness Inventory was given to 406 students. The results obtained were subjected to factor analysis. This analysis revealed the presence of two factors; one which could be labelled handedness and a smaller one which was dependent upon the wording of items. It was speculated that the latter factor may be associated with the respondent's ability to manipulate mental images.
