THz Communications: Challenges and Applications beyond 100 Gbit/s

Apart from research in academia THz communications has also triggered projects heading to develop appropriate technological solutions to enable the set-up of hardware demonstrators. For a couple of applications technology is mature enough, that standardization activities have been completed already. In parallel discussions and activities regulation took off. This talk will discuss applications, hardware demonstrators, standardization as well as regulatory aspects of future THz communication systems..
