Performance Simulation and Optimization of Parallel Flow Condenser Based on Flowmaster

To analyze transfer performance of parallel flow condenser and optimize its structure,a model based on geometry parameters was used in the simulation of a condenser in Flowmaster.The simulation was verified by comparing with experimental results.Performance result of every process of the condenser was analyzed.It was pointed out that the third process has little effect on condenser performance.The refrigerant flow arrangement was changed to discuss its impact on the condenser.It was found that the size of the condenser design was too conservative.A series of simulation were discussed by reducing the number and length of flat tube and got some optimized condenser designs with the same performance and more compact condenser.
