SHREC’08 entry: Registration and retrieval of 3D faces using a Point Distribution Model

We present a 3D face retrieval approach based on the fitting of a 3D Point Distribution Model (PDM). The model is fitted on a face without relying on texture, pose or orientation information. The retrieval is based on fine registration obtained using anthropometric knowledge and facial landmarks that are localized using the model.
