Technology transfer of the nodular cast-in-place concrete pile

The new technique of the Nodular Cast-in-Place Concrete Pile (NCPCP) has been developed. This paper deals with a case study of the technology transfer of this new technique. The basic concept was developed and confirmed by model experiments and by numerical calculations at Kansai University in Japan. The engineering concept of the NCPCP has been evaluated extensively. The idea is going to be transferred to a commercial pile company, which is developing field procedures to install the nodular pile in natural ground under a governmental research fund.
