Dynamical Formulation and Analysis of RV Reducer

Mesh stiffness of involutes pair based on Hertz formulation is formulated, take into account the affect of cycloid wheel’s curvature, new calculation method of cycloid-needle pair is presented, a 24-DOF dynamical model of the RV250AII is formulated by lumped-parameter method, solved the dynamic equation by Matlab software, results shows that the nature frequency of the reducer will changing at a tiny range with the turning of cycloid, the bearings support stiffness of planet carrier and the bending stiffness of crankshaft has obvious effect on the nature frequency.
