Electric Vehicle Dynamic Wireless Charging Technology Based on Multi-parallel Primary Coils

The conventional wireless charging technology for electric vehicles (EV) has the disadvantages of non-running charging, long charging time and frequent charging, etc. To solve the above problems, a novel wireless power transfer (WPT) for road-embedded running EV charging using multi-parallel primary coils is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the working principle of non-contact power transfer (CPT) with multi-rail parallel connection is analyzed in detail; secondly, the circuit topology of the primary winding parallel coupling mechanism is analyzed by using the mutual inductance coupling model; finally, the function and performance of the power supply mode are analyzed by an example, which proves that the system can effectively reduce the influence of rail damage on system stability and rail loss on system efficiency.
