Modeling Dispersion of Odorous Gases from Agricultural Sources

ABSTRACT THE EPA Gaussian air pollution model PTDIS was used to evaluate important factors in the dispersion of odors from agricultural production facilities. At-mospheric stability class, wind speed, source emission rate and distance downwind had major effects on down-wind concentrations. Results were presented so that downwind concentrations can be estimated for any set of known conditions.
