XML-NETS FOR SIMULATION OF THE SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESSES

Abstract In this paper the concept of XML Petri Net (XML-net) is proposed in order to model supply chains processes. The distributed processing is an essential aspect of the proposed model. An interpretation algorithm for XML-nets is proposed. The main objective is to validate the concept of XML-net and its interpretation algorithm and to present the structure of a simulation program able to trace the evolution of an XML-net. The main specifications, processes and the common collection of data structures are also presented.
