Graphic modelling technique for software execution time estimation

Abstract Most performance analysis tools in existence today are closely associated with traditional programming languages. Hence a user cannot model a software system using a performance modelling technique directly. The paper considers this problem and presents a graphic modelling technique for software performance analysis. Also a software tool called Graphic Performance Analysis System (GPAS) is developed that accepts the software's model in a graphical form independent of any programming language and uses it to carry out the performance analysis process.
