A RESEARCH ON THE DISSIPATED ENERGY DENSITY OF BITUMINOUS MIXTURES AND OVERLAY

In this paper, Burger's model is employed for the analysis of dynamic test results obtained on bituminous mixes. A method to determine Burger's parameters by dynamic modulus testing is put forward. A procedure to apply Burger's model to the analysis of the fatigue process of luminous mixture and overlays is suggested by adopting a fatigue distress function. The dissipated energy density as well as their variation in the whole fatigue process of bituminous mixture and overlays can be calculated by means of the presented method.
