An idle screen conversion method in a mobile communication terminal, an idle screen rotating method, and the mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to increase usage convenience since a user does not have to pass through a tree step through menus when changing an idle screen, while even a user unfamiliar to menu setup can easily convert the idle screen, thereby increasing usage convenience as expanding terminal usage. A memory(140) stores plural images for an idle screen in predetermined order. A display unit(120) displays the idle screen. A pressure sensor(130) has the predetermined number of pressure reacting areas on a surface of the display unit, and outputs pressure sensing signals by sensing pressure applied to the pressure reacting areas. A controller(110) determines an idle screen conversion direction by receiving the sensing signals, and loads one of the stored images based on the determined direction to display the image on the display unit. A wireless unit(150) converts voice data and control data into a wireless signal and transmits the wireless signal. In addition, the wireless unit receives a wireless signal, converts the wireless signal into voice data and control data and outputs those kinds of data.
