Reactive Power in Nonsinusoidal Situations

Reactive power is interpreted as a time-domain reciprocating flow of energy, with a formulation that is valid for any periodic waveforms. It is shown that the current can be resolved into orthogonal components, and that the current and power components can be measured with practical instrumentation.
