Reduction of fast SOP changes in DSCMs under influence of shock and vibrations

Fast SOP changes in fiber-based dispersion slope compensating modules (DSCMs) due to mechanical impact are effectively suppressed by introducing a simple passive vibration-suppression scheme consisting of shock mounts isolating the DSCM spool from the housing.
