Interest-Based Trust Propagation in Blog Community

Trust propagation is now being studied in many areas (P2P, e-Business, etc.). Motivated by Web 2.0, researchers have put more concentration on trust prediction in online community. Recent years, some new ideas have emerged in trust propagation in order to acquire higher accuracy. However, to our best knowledge, there seems little research focuses on the interest of users in the trust web. In this paper, we propose an Interest-Based Trust Propagation (IBTP) model which extends the conventional trust propagation model with the feature of interests. We apply this model in a blog community and conduct an experiment with real-world blog data. Experimental results indicate that IBTP has made improvement on traditional algorithms.
