A Review of Some Cluster Analysis Methods

Abstract Cluster analysis is the term used to describe a variety of procedures for grouping items with similar characteristics. The purpose of this paper is to outline some of the algorithms used in cluster analysis and to show how these methods can be used in industrial management. Examples of applications to organizational problems, classification of employee work groups and work planning problems are discussed.
