This section concentrates on patients with meningomyeloceles, which involves different disciplines throughout pregnancy, infancy, childhood and adolescence in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care. Challenging in this special ®eld is not only the medical treatment in each area such as prenatal care and neonatology, neurosurgery, pediatric nephrology and urology, but more the interdisciplinary approach and consensus in treatment strategies for each individual patient.
