Experience with the Management of Software Projects

Motivation This contribution aims to demonstrate that deficits in the management of IS-projects emerge in strategic, interdisciplinary, administrative and internal IS-projects. Deficits are selection and training of PM as well as the result from poor assessment and the lack of project management awareness in the area of data processing, as well as through an unsuitable selection and installation of project management components. An enlarged understanding of the idea ‘project management of IS-projects’ is necessary. (IS: Information Systems)
