Development and demonstration of software-radio-based wireless passive radar

Reported is the development of a wireless passive radar using software defined radio technology. Hardware and signal processing development are reported, and detection of personnel and vehicle targets are demonstrated. This is believed to be the first report of a software-radio-based wireless passive system and opens the way to development of a truly low-cost COTS-based compact radar system with widespread applications.
