The present invention provides a method and system of mobile device cooperation authentication on the basis of a geographic position. The method comprises: a main mobile device builds a cooperation authentication device combination list according to user indications prior to initiation of a device authentication request, and sends the cooperation authentication device combination list to an authentication server; the authentication server receives and store the cooperation authentication device combination list; the main mobile device initiates the device authentication request to the authentication server to verify the identity of the main mobile device according to the user indications; and the authentication server authenticate the identity of the main mobile device on the basis of the geographic position of at least one auxiliary mobile device indicated by the cooperation authentication device combination list. The method and system of mobile device cooperation authentication on the basis of a geographic position have enhanced safety and are convenient for usage.
