Performance investigation for LDPC-coded upstream transmission systems in IM/DD OFDM-PONs

To mitigate interferences of subcarrier-to-subcarrier intermixing and ONU-to-ONU beating, we design a LDPC-coded and spectrum-efficient upstream transmission system. Simulation results demonstrate the receiver sensitivity is improved 3.6 dB under QPSK after 100 km transmission.
