Z-source AC-DC-AC converter for mining applications

The paper proposes a medium voltage Z-source ac-dc-ac converter for mining application. It could provide buck-boost function and make the role of frequency changer. Compared to the traditional ac-dc-ac converter, it has higher efficiency and better circuit characteristics. The circuit topology, operating principle, simulation results will be given in this paper, and the rationality and feasibility is verified.
