Developments of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS), POSSnanocomposites and their applications: A review

This review presents a brief account of recent developments in synthesis and properties of organic-inorganic hybrids using polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) nanoparticIe, and applications of POSS monomers and nanocomposites. Therma], rheology and mechanical properties of polyimides, epoxy polymers, polymethymethacrylate, polyurethanes, and various other polymer nanocomposites are discussed.
