Optimal Asynchrophasor In PMU Using Second Order Kalman Filter

Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) importance to reduce the operation cost have led the operators to work on alternative solutions to reduce the error rate. PMU is very costly according to energy regulator and utility companies. Therefore, it's essential to work for improving the PMU to reduce cost. In this paper, we are optimizing the PMU to reduce the level of error using second order Kalman Filter. So, the Optimizing is based on minimizing the number of error when receiving the signal from access point or from the main access point. We come up with very simple mathematical model to estimate the phase coming from the PMU.
