Microstrip Patch Antenna as Dual Bowtie Shaped forX-Band Applications

This paper presents a novel compact likea dual bowtie microstrip patch antenna of 82×45×1.6 mm³for X-band applications. This antenna is simulated and analyzed using HFSS based Finite Element Method (FEM). . Microstrip feed line location is optimized to get minimum return loss. Antenna characteristics are simulated using a Finite Element Method (FEM) based High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS). Antenna performance in term of return loss, radiation pattern and gain are analyzed. It is found that the antenna is resonant at 10 GHzwith a return loss of -24 dB and a stable radiation patterns. This antenna predict for successful radar and satellite communication.
