A capsule and capsule type endoscope provided with a movement fuction

PURPOSE: A capsule and a capsule type endoscope are provided to allow the capsule type endoscope embedded with an image pickup camera to quickly move forward and rearward directions along the inside of the organ of a patient. CONSTITUTION: A capsule(30) comprises a main body(32), a forward movement unit(40), and a rearward movement unit(50). The main body has a capsule type outer appearance and an inner space. The forward movement unit is arranged in the main body, and provides moving force to a front portion of the main body so as to move the main body in a forward direction. The rearward movement unit provides moving force to a rear portion of the main body so as to move the main body in a rearward direction.
