The statuses and problems of engineering methods being applied to epileptic researches

Epilepsy is a common chronic disorders of the nervous system characterized by abnormal syn-chronized excess firings of a large number of neurons.These abnormal discharges can reflect in EEG recordings,for which engineering technique methods are useful in epileptic researches,such as diagnosis,focus location,seizure prediction,and seizure control.But there are more or less problems while applying these methods.Thus,we expatiate on the nowadays aspects of engineering technique methods applied to epileptic researches and point out that fundamental problems are the mechanism being unclear and slow waves of EEGs being ignored.These must be paid much attention in the future.[
