Classifications of discrete lives

Abstract As some of the classification concepts, in use in the continuous setup, cannot be directly used in the reliability analysis of discrete lives we have suitably modified those concepts to define discrete IFR, DFR, IFRA and DFRA classes, examined their properties and provided with sharp reliability bounds. Some characterization results have also been obtained.
