The Design and Experimental Research of Compound Pendulum Based on Encoder

Aimed at the experiment of compound pendulum,a experiment equipment of compound pendulum based on encoder is designed. The equipment combines pendulum bob with multihole pendulum. The gravity acceleration and inertia moment can be solved in various ways. The parallel-axis theorem of rigid body can be verified with this physical pendulum. In the process of experiment,linear least-squares fitting with Matlab is used to solve the gravity acceleration and verifies the parallel-axis theorem creatively. The results confirm that it is more simple and more accurate than the traditional compound pendulum.
