2016-2017시즌 대학 스키수업 헬멧착용에 대한 현장실태 보고

This study was conducted just like a report as a material to be used in making the safety manuals, using the word, “Ski helmet”, based on the urgency of the study in providing the insight into what people’s perception of ski safety is like. As for the research methods, I tried to reach the conclusions through the observations and interviews with teachers and learners who took part in college ski courses, those working for the ski gear rental agency, and those conducting safety patrols. The research conclusions could be derived from each situation that I faced when conducting the interviews and other information acquired from the fields. AS for the awareness of ski safety, as only 45.2% skiers wear helmets, the safety awareness about ski is not so high in Korea. The reason they don’t wear the safety gears like helmets is that they feel it uncomfortable to wear them, having no experience of any safetyrelated incidents and the subsequent insensitivity to safety. My conclusion is that it is very important that the teachers teaching ski skills must show their own habits of wearing safety gears to the students before making it obligatory for them to wear them while skiing, which is the best way to improve the safety in ski fields.
