Effect of Dehumidification of Air on the Performance of Eccentric Circular Fins

A theoretical analysis of the performance of cooling and dehumidifying an eccentric circular fin has been carried out. Numerical results for fin temperature distribution and fin efficiency were obtained for various ranges of psychometric conditions and compared with those of a dry fin. The effect of eccentricity on the fin efficiency was also investigated. It was found that the fin efficiency decreases as dehumidification or eccentricity is increased.
