Pacemaker therapy in pregnancy for the management of sinus bradycardia-junctional tachycardia syndrome.

A patient with Ebstein's malformation and tachyarrythmias is described. The management of her complicated rhythm disturbances during pregnancy and successful labor and delivery was made possible by a temporary transvenous pacemaker. Pacemaker therapy during pregnancy is reviewed. The role of drugs and their potential complications to the fetus make electrical therapy more desirable in these situations.
