An exact solution for travelling waves of ut = Duxx + u - uk

Abstract An exact analytical solution for travelling waves of the Fisher equation with a general nonlinearity is found. The boundary values, the boundedness and the stability of the solution are discussed. The reduced ordinary differential equation of the equation of our study is investigated for the Painleve property.
