Genetic Programming in Europe

Genetic Programming (GP) is becoming a leading area of computer science in which Europe has a number of very active researchers which are now all gathered in the EvoGP working group. In this report we describe the state of the art in GP technology, the role Europe has in advancing it and the activities of the EvoGP working group. We indicate the likely benefits of this technology now and in the near future and we make recommendations for future European research.
