Modeling and Simulation of PMSM DTC System Using SVPWM

There are several problems in the conventional direct torque control(DTC)system such as large torque-ripple,inconstant inverter switching frequency. At the basis of analysis of permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM),this paper proposes a DTC system using space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM)for PMSM and model in the Matlab/Simulink.The model adopts PI controllers instead of relay unit,and the inverter is controlled by the SVPWM technique instead of switching table.The model simulation results indicate the validity of the proposed DTC system for PMSM,and the proposed method can improve the performance of DTC system.
