Technical Note: A Study on Encoding of Compressed ECG Data for Solid‐state Holter Recorders

ECG data compression is one of the important techniques for tapeless Holter recorders. Researchers try to get the highest compression ratio (CR) and better quality of the reconstructed ECG. Using the improved linear approximation distance thresholding (LADT) algorithm, a higher CR can be obtained. To get even higher CR, a study on encoding of compressed ECG data for solid-state Holter recorders is presented in this paper.
