Review and Prospect of Studies on Emergency Management

Abstract In China, the occurrence of a series of disasters and the tremendous loss in human lives expose the vulnerability the emergency system and the incomplete of the methodology. Faced with the needs of the practice, this paper conducted a comprehensive review both from the system and the methodology prospective. From the system prospective, this paper aims at analyzing the existing problems and the solution finding. From the methodology prospective, emergency facility location problem, emergency resource allocation problem, and emergency management technical support problem are examined.
