A 450-W Output Multiplexer for Direct Broadcasting Satellites

The development and design of high power manifold type output multiplexer are described. The results obtained on Invar multiplexers with up to 450-W input power per channel are reported. The multiplexer are equipped with heat pipes in order to remove the heat generated in the filters.
