Fast resonance Raman spectroscopy of a free radical

Abstract The resonance Raman spectrum of a 10 −3 molar solution of the stable diphenyl-pikryl-hydrazyl radical in benzene was obtained using a single laser pulse of 10 mJ energy and 600 ns duration from a flashlamp pumped tunable dye laser. Spectra were recorded using an image intensifier coupled to a TV camera and a video disk.
