The implications of scaling down fuel cells

Miniaturization is starting to play a major role in our lives. Personal computers, phones and consumer electronics all continue to shrink in size. Miniaturization is now moving into other product areas, such as turbomachinery and even fuel cells. This feature, which is based on an article by Stanford University's Sangkyun Kang, Sang-Joon J. Lee. and Fritz B. Prinz, that appears in a recent edition of ABB Review, looks at the implications of scaling down fuel cells.
