HEVC 부호화기를 위한 정수 화소 움직임 예측 조기 종료 알고리즘

In this paper, an early termination algorithm for integer motion estimation (IME) in High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) encoder is proposed. This algorithm is based on the statistical analysis of the probability of the initial search point (ISP) to be selected as the best motion vector (MV). Based on the statistics, we propose two steps early termination algorithm according to coding unit size for IME. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve 25.5% encoding time saving with minimal BD-rate loss.
