The invention discloses a testing method and a testing device for a front end. The testing method comprises the following steps: receiving the current operation carried out on a front end interface by a user; determining the operation information of the current operation; analyzing the operation information through a predetermined step function, and determining the subsequent operation carried out on the front end interface by the user; by analyzing the subsequent operation, selecting a testing method corresponding to the subsequent operation from a plurality of predetermined testing methods as a target testing method. The subsequent operation of the user can be determined by using the step function before the user sends the subsequent operation for the front end interface, and different subsequent operations can be differently processed by calling different testing methods according to the difference of the subsequent operations, so that the problems of repeated testing, data redundancy and low testing efficiency caused by calling of each testing method to test the front end interface are avoided.
