2.4 GHz radio-channel characterization of an underground mine using patch antennas

In this article, patch antennas were used for transmission and reception of a 2.4 GHz radio frequency signal. The aim is to characterize the propagation channel using directive antennas in an underground mining gallery. Satisfactory channel parameters' results were achieved, based on measurements.
