Four-track vehicles by bondgraph-dynamic characteristics of four-track vehicles in snow

The dynamic running performance of a four-track vehicle (known as a crawler vehicle) in deep snow is analyzed. The modeling of the vehicle is easily completed by use of bond graphs. The simulation results by use of bond graph software 20-sim are as follows: the fundamental mechanism of the vehicle running in the deep is that the crawler unit is swung by the resistance of the snow around the center of the drive shaft. Furthermore the frequency and amplitude of the swing changes with the amount of snow resistance.
