Optimised planar integrated L-C-T components

A planar integrated LCT structure (resonant inductor, resonant capacitor, output transformer) is described for use in series resonant converters. The construction and design of the structure is described, and design equations derived. The structure is analysed from a volumetric point of view, some of the limits of the technology are discussed. Experimental results of an LCT structure for a 5 kVA converter are presented.
